In December 2024, Inovor Technologies warmly welcomed a cohort of exceptional university STEM students – our latest interns – to our headquarters at Lot Fourteen.
Meet Oveena Widyaratne, Oliver Lancaster, Relcy Ruzario and Abdullah Tahir!

When these young talents joined our team, their contagious energy and curiosity brought in fresh perspectives. Throughout the summer, they engaged in challenging engineering projects under the mentorship of our senior engineers. Additionally, they participated in business activities and project management initiatives, and they had the opportunity to visit notable space companies such as Myriota, QuantX Labs, Southern Launch and Neumann Space.

“Working with the Mech Engineering team has been an incredible experience, strengthening my passion for the space industry. During my internship, I have gained valuable skills in research, design, assembly and testing of satellite equipment, learning far more than I ever expected. I am especially excited to explore mechanical design, as I love turning ideas into reality and getting hands-on experience. Hopefully, I will get to see my parts manufactured while I am here, and I aim to learn enough to continue working in this field after I graduate! ” – Oliver Lancaster

“As a Software Engineering intern at Inovor not only do I hope to better my technical skills, but I also hope to continue learning as much as I can from the team about the process of designing cleaner and more thoughtful software to help me in becoming a better engineer. I am most excited that I had the chance to both analyze real telemetry data from the first of its kind Inovor satellites – that are on orbit, and to have created tools to give the team meaningful insights to help them in their ongoing mission operations.” – Abdullah Tahir.

“My technical background has helped me gain a deeper insight into market analysis, database management and KPI evaluation. I loved working on the social media content and graphic designing in particularly telling the story of the South Australia’s growing space industry and its innovative technology. Working with stakeholders and engaging in insightful brainstorming sessions has given me great exposure and helped me reflect on future Technology. The combination of Tech and creativity has been an exciting fusion I encountered during my internship as a Marketing & Public Relations analyst, and I am driven to keep learning and contributing to the space industry here in SA.” – Relcy Ruzario
“During my internship at Inovor, I gained hands-on experience primarily as a Marketing and Communications data analyst. I have also worked closely with the brilliant Inovor Engineers, Leadership team, and senior space industry professionals on various technical and non-technical projects, which allowed me to apply my business and analytical skills in real-world scenarios. Additionally, my involvement in business development activities and future project discussions broadened my understanding of the space ecosystem locally and globally.” – Oveena Widyaratne
Inovor Technologies’ university student internship programs run annually from December to February. Keep an eye on our socials or the careers page to hear about applications for the 2025-26 intake!
