Inovor Technologies wins Space Business of the Year 2020

Graeme Hunter from KBR announces Inovor Technologies as Space Business of the Year 2020 at the Australian Defence Industry Awards.

 

Inovor Technologies has been named Australian Space Business of the Year 2020 at the Australian Defence Industry Awards.

The announcement was made at a black-tie event hosted by Momentum Media, publisher of Defence Connect in association with sponsor KBR, in Sydney on Thursday 26 November 2020.

Other finalists in the category of Space Business of the Year 2020 included:

  • BlackSky Aerospace.
  • EOS Space Systems.
  • Inmarsat.
  • Shoal Group.

The award capped off a big year for Inovor Technologies which included winning an international tender to build the Buccaneer Main Mission spacecraft for Defence Science and Technology (DST), being named as the spacecraft bus supplier for the SpIRIT mission and CEO Dr Matthew Tetlow winning Australian Space Innovator of the Year 2020.

Due to COVID-19 restrictions, representatives from Adelaide-based Inovor Technologies were unable to travel to Sydney for the event.

CEO and founder of Inovor Technologies, Dr Tetlow, said: “We are thrilled to be named Space Business of the Year for 2020; it’s a reflection of the great work done by the Inovor team so well done to the team.
